9 April 2024Within our Engineering Department, we are recruiting a design engineer specialised in the study and delivery of capital equipment in pharmaceuticals, material handling and special-purpose machines. The candidate has strong mechanical design skills and knowledge in electrical engineering. Our company, based in the heart of the Monts du Lyonnais, has developed over more than 40 years four complementary departments: material handling — process — maintenance — air handling and ultraclean environments, relying on know-how and skills that are constantly evolving. The company designs and delivers technical solutions suited to material-handling applications, but also to pharmaceutical, hospital, food-industry environments and any environment with specific requirements, in France and internationally — in particular on the African continent.

Profile
- Mechanical engineer or higher-level technician in industrial design, with at least 4 to 5 years of experience

Job responsibilities
- Draw layout, assembly and detail drawings
- Study supporting documents (customer specifications, layout drawings, functional analysis, etc.)
- Produce design calculations
- Select off-the-shelf parts
- Master the IT tools (2D and 3D CAD)
- Provide technical and theoretical support to the project managers
- Take part in the commissioning of equipment
- Manage the budget allocated to each study
- Ensure the documentary management of projects (structuring, archiving, planning, follow-up of the signature circuit…)
- Take part in project follow-up meetings
- Monitor the documentary progress of the project, identify discrepancies (content, deadlines), raise alerts in the event of drift and propose corrective actions
- Take part in the continuous improvement of documentary management in accordance with the ISO quality standards in place at AVN. Occasional travel to be expected (meetings, dimensional surveys, etc.)

Required skills
- Careful work, anticipation, autonomy, rigour and attention to detail in compliance with the company’s rules and techniques, ability to synthesise (clear and precise), good English level
- Knowledge of and compliance with regulatory quality requirements / HVAC / Pharma knowledge is a plus

You are proficient in the following software:
- AutoCAD
- Inventor (or SolidWorks)
- (Vault) – MS Office suite
